WE are Here -- Praise God!

Hi Everyone -- The team has arrived at Kokrine Hills Bible Camp -- well to be honest we arrived yesterday afternoon.  We had great travel on Thursday and Friday -- It truly was truly amazing to see God working in our travels -- Our team shirts attracted a lot of attention and questions from people in the airport and on the planes.  Their questions opened doors to tell them about the camp, our mission trip to Alaska, and why we are traveling from North Carolina all the way to the middle of Alaska to Serve Christ.  Peoples reactions ranged from fascination to "why would you ever want to do that?".  And there it is, God opened a door for us to share the Gospel. 
We stayed overnight in Anchorage and flew into camp late Friday morning.  We took a small chartered plane and by small, I mean really small on 7 total seats including the pilot and co-pilot seats.  David was the co-pilot on the first flight with me, Jordan, Kelly and Linda.  We have a OUTSTANDING view of Denali.  All you can say in the face of one of God's largest mountains is WOW! 
The second group arrived around 4pm.  Chuck was the co-pilot on that flight.  I'm surprised Big Chuck was even able to fit in the seat :-).  On that flight was Chuck, Chris, Meredith, Luke, and Brock.  Once our team was reunited we got right to work unloading crates of food and snacks for the kids who will be at camp next week.  David did some repair on the boat.  Jordan, Raven (Carole's granddaughter), and me (Mighty Mouse) built an Alaskan size mouse trap out of 2 x 10's.  The team just works so well together is completely unified to serve Him in whatever capacity we can. 
Today (Saturday), we just finished our morning devotional.  Kelly lead us in John 6:1-14.  She did a great job in leading us.  In the verses, Jesus feeds 5000 with 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread.  Although we have all probably read the story -- Kelly brought our how we bring our different gifts to this team, and if we allow Jesus to use them He will miraculously multiply our gifts and provide for the needs of the kids who will be coming to camp this summer.  We can't just look at things from what I can offer but what we can accomplish as a team.  Roger Huntington added that in verses 10 and 11, Jesus delegated to His disciples to seat the people and after they were seated Jesus personally distributed the food and fed the people.  Did you get it -- Jesus personally gave them what they needed.  He took what the boy had, multiplied it, and personally gave it to the people.  That is why we're here -- to give what we can offer, allow Jesus to multiply our gifts and for Him to personally provide for the needs of the kids who will be coming here. 
Lastly, I don't know if you are aware -- but earlier this month there was a terrible flood in Galena, AK.  The small village has been devastated.  Roger and Carole have family and a home there.  Please keep the village in prayer.
